Recommended for growing in self-sufficient gardens. Distinguished by large, very tasty fruits, high yield, easy-to-shape tree. Close in quality to 'Atvasara', but the fruits are persistent on the tree and stored longer.
Early autumn variety. Harvest time is medium (2nd half of September). Very persistent on the tree, and picking should not be delayed, because then the fruits turn pale. Apples picked on time can be stored until November. Sensitive in transport.
Fruits large or very large, oblong (cylindrical) or elliptical, medium ribbing, asymmetrical, often triangular in cross-section. Bark with frosting, slightly oily, durable. Base color pale yellow, no top color. Slight rusting only in the pit of the stem.
The flesh is very soft, cream-colored, fine-grained, moderately juicy.
Taste very good or excellent, sweet and sour, aromatic. Contains medium amounts of soluble solids (12.2 °Brix), acids (0.46%) and polyphenols (89.3 mg/100g), low firmness (3.2 kg/cm²).
The tree is strong, forms a spreading crown. The type of production is mixed. Production starts early, the yield is high, rich yields alternate with lower ones. The fruits are partially self-thinning.
Blooms early, flowers are large.
Resistance to disease is average.
Winter hardiness is good in Zemgale, but has not been tested elsewhere.
Recommended rootstocks: short-stemmed rootstocks B.9, B.396.
