‘JURIS’ (DI variety)

Testable in integrated cultivation, especially in areas where the variety's winter hardiness is important.

The tree is medium-sized, easy to shape. It starts producing slowly, then produces very well, with a tendency to periodicity. For good fruit size, rationing of fruit set is desirable. Small rootstocks are recommended, on which the trees will start producing more quickly.

Blooms late , suffers little from frost.

Fruits are medium-sized, flattened, purple-red. Flesh is aromatic, sweet with a slight acidity, juicy. Flesh firmness is medium: 4-5 kg cm-2, Brix°12, low acid: 0.3%.

Harvested late, in early October, stored until February-March. If stored longer, it rots less, but the taste becomes bland.

Scab resistance is average or good, resistant to rot. High winter hardiness, including in Northern Vidzeme (Malnava).

It is distinguished by its winter hardiness and late flowering, good fruit quality, but relatively late-yielding. Observations in commercial gardens are lacking.
