A disease-resistant, winter-hardy autumn apple tree for cool climates.
Ripening: medium early (1.5 weeks before 'Lobo'), persistent on the tree even when overripe.
Shelf life: 3 - 4 months in normal storage.
Fruit: large or very large (70...100 mm), round-conical, flattened.
Bark: base color light yellow, top color red, with heavy frosting.
Flesh: firm, cream-colored, juicy, sweet and sour with a predominance of sweetness, very good taste. Density 6...8 kg/cm², Brix 11...14 %, titratable acidity 0.5...0.8 %.
Tree: medium-sized, well-branched. Winter-hardy.
Yield: very high yielding, good annual yields, self-thinning.
Flowering time: medium early.
Resistance: resistant to scab (Vf), moderately susceptible to powdery mildew. In organic gardens, apple scab and fruit rot can damage.
Positive characteristics: resistant to scab (Vf/Rvi6); winter-hardy; large fruit for dessert; fast and regular harvests; fruit self-thinning.
Disadvantages: susceptible to powdery mildew; if picked late, the fruit may overripe on the tree; on the shady side, the color of the fruit may be unattractive (spotted).
