'Auksis' is the most planted variety in new gardens in Latvia, occupying around 10% of the garden area.

It is widely grown in the variety's homeland in Lithuania and is also planted in Estonia. The variety is distinguished by very stable production and fruit quality and is easy to care for. The fruits are harvested in early September and fall quite easily, so picking should not be delayed. They retain a consistently good taste from September to March. Fallen apples are good for various types of processing. The fruits can often be bought in supermarkets.
