On May 24th at 7:00 p.m., an open-air classical music concert "The joy of lilac blossoming sounds."

The concert in the Lilac Garden of the Horticultural Institute is an annual celebration of flowering and a joy to meet! The concert was a gift for the patient and loving work of those who take care of the garden throughout the year and those who are invited to enjoy this garden together with a wonderful spring concert program.

In the first part of the concert program, brilliant soloists: Jolanta Strikaite, Jānis Apeņš, Juris Jope, as well as virtuoso performances by an instrumental group, will perform fragments from Mozart's opera "Don Juan", Rossini's opera "The Barber of Seville" and Bizet's opera "Carmen", as well as the wonderful music of J. Strauss.

In the second part of the concert, the voice of the brilliant singer Aija Vītoliņa invited us into the world of jazz, tango, and chanson.

Sincere gratitude for moderating the concert to music journalist and musician Edgars Ražinskis and concert producer, opera singer Evita Zālīte-Grosa.

The concert was implemented with the support of the "Zemgale Historical Land Cultural Program 2024", the State Cultural Capital Fund and the Zemgale Planning Region.
