House plum 'Julius'
House plum ( Prunus domestica ) 'Julius'
The fruits ripen in the 1st–2nd decade of August. Large, flat oval with a rounded top - the base color is greenish yellow, the top color is brownish purple or red, the flesh is yellow, sweet and sour, juicy, the taste is good, in sunny summers - very good. The stone separates well. The fruits do not crack during the rainy season, they are durable on the tree.
Blooms early, so the flowers sometimes suffer from spring frosts, self-infertile.
The tree is small to medium-sized, with a broad crown. In the first years, the trees are sensitive to frost, while the productive trees are moderately hardy. Overabundant harvests reduce winter hardiness.
