Museum Night at the Pēteris Upītis Horticultural Museum and Garden
On May 14th from 7:00 PM - 12:00 AM, we invite you to attend the "Museum Night" events at the Pēteris Upītis Horticultural Museum and the garden of the Horticultural Institute.
At 8:00 PM, the musical association "ZeMe" will perform "The Coming of Spring"
The musical performance of Nature Awakening will be accompanied by the sounds of kokle and electronic music in lilac parks, awakening lilac buds to magnificent flowering. The duet “ZeMe” was created by kokle player and ethnomusicologist Laima Jansone, joining forces with one of the most experienced Latvian DJs, DJ Monsta.
Campaign “Let's plant our own sunflower!”
At the Pēteris Upītis Horticultural Museum:
- Exhibition “Irises” in collaboration with the museum “Riga Art Nouveau Centre”
- Video “Imants Ziedonis”. The action takes place in Pēteris Upītis' lilac garden. Imants Ziedonis expresses his thoughts on the personality of Pēteris Upītis, his assessment of his work. Cinematographer Servīns Egliens, 1994.
- Screening of the documentary film "The Joy of Being". The film's plot shows the life of Pēteris Upītis in Dobele, his garden, and his scientific work over the course of a year. Director Hercs Franks, 1974.

During the event, there will be an opportunity to purchase hot drinks and snacks, as well as produce and seedlings.
