Dr. biologist Sarmīte Strautiņa receives the "Order of the Apple" - the highest award in the fruit growing industry
The Dobele Apple Festival is a special event for the city, but also for the fruit growing industry, not only celebrating the harvest festival, but also honoring professionals in the industry. This year, for the 9th time, the highest award in the fruit growing industry - the "Order of the Apple" - was presented.
The high award was received by Sarmīte Strautiņa, leading researcher at the Institute of Horticulture, for her high professional skills, which have contributed to the recognition of the industry. We sincerely congratulate our colleague! The award was presented by Andrejs Spridzāns, Chairman of the Dobele Regional Council.
